I never could use anything but Roxio to burn discs, and that was, of course, lost in the clean install. I am aware that I will need a clean install, which doesn't bother me in the least, but I was wondering if I will be able to regain the full functionality Posted by ali.poorsanati on 26 Nov 2007 10:47 My drive is working just fine.It never stopped working. I put a game dvd in (command and conquer3) and it simple says "insert a disc".
hi, I'm new so i don't know if this is the right place to post this message, but the driver in the name will not play. Posted by racergirl435 on 25 Nov 2007 22:49 It's interesting to me that there seem to be so many of these drives apparently failing in such a close time period. I Will I have to take any action for the built-in WiFi card to work properly? check over here Posted by przero on 25 Nov 2007 23:42 I have the same drive and the same problem.
Power down the machine and physically unplug this device from your computer. I've have a Toshiba laptop and have been formatting and burning CDs. Doing this in Safe Mode is sometimes better but you can do it in regular Windows first to see if it works. Reboot into Windows without the unit hooked up, this will allow windows to register that the device is no longer installed.
